The hut was incredibly quaint and cozy, making for a perfect Christmas getaway. The cleanliness and upkeep of the hut were impressive, and the added touch of providing breakfast essentials was a pleasant surprise. The location in the heart of the New Forest was ideal for exploring Bucklers Hard, Beaulieu, and Lymington, and we loved being able to easily access the beautiful heathland for walks.
The pathway to the hut was quite muddy, possibly due to recent rain. It would have been more convenient if it had been a gravel path instead.

The shepherd's hut was a cozy and comfortable place to stay during our holiday. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and provided thoughtful touches like a bottle of Prosecco and milk in the fridge. The hut was well-equipped with everything we needed, including pots, pans, and utensils. The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. the location was perfect, offering peace and quiet for a relaxing vacation.
One drawback of the shepherd's hut was its size. It was a bit cramped, especially when we brought too much stuff and had to constantly rearrange to create more space.

I had a delightful stay at this cozy hut with a lovely fireplace. It had all the amenities I needed, from a comfortable bed to a well-equipped kitchen. The thoughtful touches, like a bottle of sparkling wine and breakfast supplies, made me feel pampered. The hosts were flexible and accommodating, making my weekend getaway even more enjoyable. The beautiful surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for a peaceful retreat. I especially loved waking up to the sounds of birds chirping in the morning. The local shop and pub within walking distance were convenient. My stay here was absolutely fantastic, and I can't wait to return.
While my stay was wonderful overall, there were a few minor inconveniences. One of the burners on the hob would not light, but it didn't significantly impact my experience.

It was a truly unique and peaceful experience. We had an amazing Christmas getaway! The cozy hut had a lovely fireplace and all the amenities we needed. We were welcomed with a bottle of sparkling wine and there were breakfast essentials available, which was a nice touch. The location was perfect, surrounded by the beautiful New Forest and close to Bucklers Hard, Beaulieu, and Lymington. We also enjoyed easy access to walking trails across the heathland. The private space in the garden was another advantage we liked.
While it didn't bother us, the pillows and duvet were feather-filled, which might be an issue for those with allergies or asthma. the pathway to the hut was muddy, but given the rainy weather, it was understandable.

Our stay at the Wayside Shepherd Hut was absolutely delightful. The location was ideal for exploring the beautiful New Forest and attending a wedding at the Beaulieu Motor venue. The hut itself was cozy and had all the essentials we needed. The owners were incredibly helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. The cleanliness of the hut was impressive, and the quirky touches like fairy lights added to the charming atmosphere. We especially loved the secluded and private setting of the hut, allowing us to relax and unwind in peace. The shower hut exceeded our expectations, providing hot showers and ample running water. The extra touches, such as the breakfast essentials and wild flowers, made us feel truly welcomed. Although the pillows and duvet were feather, it wasn't an issue for us personally. The only minor drawbacks were the lack of a microwave and the discomfort of the settee. However, these were overshadowed by the overall amazing experience. We highly recommend a stay at the Wayside Shepherd Hut for a uniquely enjoyable getaway in the heart of the New Forest.
